Summer Camp: Ages 4 to 11
I'm excited as the new Head Pro at Park Lakes to introduce kid's camp this year! The Park Lakes summer camp will be based on my highly successful quick start programs that I run inside at the Knoll Tennis Club! This camp will introduce kids to the game of tennis or enhance their skills if they have any prior experience. The camp will be broken up in 3 groups:
- Ages 4 to 6i: will be the first sector. This group will learn the fundamentals and techniques with the red dot balls and lower nets. Campers at this particular phase should bring a racquet size between 21 or no more than 23 inches.
- Ages 7 to 9: The second group will the orange ball group. The orange ball is a smaller, slower, low compressed ball. These players should be able to make solid contact and begin to learn how to rally with each other! The racquet size should be a 23 or nor more than a 25 inch racquet for most players.
- Ages 9 to 11: Finally the last group is the green dot ball! This ball is very similar to a real ball but bounces slightly lower. This age group is 9 to 11. If you have a 11 year old that is a beginner this would be a great way for that particular to learn with a faster track to reach their potential. Knowing how to rally is a must for this group.
Please note that all weeks are Monday-Thursday with Friday as a rain day. For a member it is $120 for the week. Non-members the price is $160 for the week. Each day the camp will be 2 hours from 10 to 12!
